Kenichi Takasaki, Patent Attorney​

Takasaki & Co. was established by Patent Attorney Kenichi Takasaki under the guiding philosophy of providing high value-added services by leveraging extensive experience and expertise in the field of intellectual property.

While the number of patent applications in Japan had been on a downward trend since the 2008 global financial crisis, it has recently begun to increase again between 2023 and 2024. Furthermore, the ongoing Fourth Industrial Revolution—characterized by the convergence of digital technologies such as IoT, AI, and Big Data—is making the field of intellectual property increasingly sophisticated and complex. In light of these developments, the importance of intellectual property is greater than ever before. 

Our firm specializes in a wide range of fields, including general machinery, mechatronics, optics, computer-related technologies, and certain areas of inorganic chemistry.   • Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Doshisha University.
Professional Experience:
  • Engaged in research and development (R&D) at BorgWarner Inc. (USA).
  • Extensive experience working at several mid-sized to large-scale patent firms, handling a high volume of 20 to 50 new cases per month.
  • Served as an Intellectual Property Consultant for the Kobe Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Achievements & Skills:
  • 1st Place (Winner), Advanced Class, ECC Foreign Language Institute English Oratory Contest.
  • 3rd Place, Kansai College of Foreign Languages (formerly Tennoji English Academy) English Oratory Contest.
  • Registered Patent Attorney (1992).
